Pond and Landscapers based on Salt Spring Island and Vancouver IslandTelephone Lewis Landscapes

Lewis Landscapes offers a full range of landscaping and garden design services on Salt Spring Island. Take a moment to review some of our past projects. Our work includes every aspect of garden design and construction from fairly basic patios and fencing to high-end landscape design contracts. Nothing is too small, or potentially too large.

The firm is a long-established local business run by Andrew Lewis. He will discuss your site and the design options, with no pressure, to help you get the best.

A large site with dramatic ocean views. Landscaping required major tree clearance and groundwork. Massive stones were brought in to create pathways and areas for planting.

A small garden in need of a full make-over. It was re-designed to add colour and interest with a small pool, stone and gravel paths, a smal lawn, and herbaceous plants. A few of the original trees and shrubs were retained, notably a lovely Arbutus.

A very exposed garden built within a shallow rocky basin, and subject to strong light and shade differences.

A large project that included a tennis court. Lewis Landscapes carried out the landscaping around the property including formal patios and grass terracing. Small rock planting extended onto the beach. The tennis court required a large cut into the hillside, which was braced with a 11 foot high stone retaining wall.

A neat garden project to create a new front entry and backup planting. Concrete blocks are used for the steps and walkways, laid over a concrete base. Slate facing stone is used for the walling, incorporating a decorative fish pond and cascade.

A project to build a 42inch diameter pizza oven. This is a large size oven, suitable for entertaining. The oven is part of an outdoor kitchen arrangement.

A conventional swimming pool with an jacuzzi. This was a major project including landscaping the pond surrounds. Although built some years ago, it is included in the portfolio because of the massive rock landscaping designed to make it appear less formal.

Cedar woodshed and stairs to a lower level.

A nice paving job to replace a worn-out deck, included a planted border.

An enclosed courtyard garden that included perimeter Cedar fencing and entry. The garden consists of raised flower beds with stone walls, concrete block patio, and pergola.

A project to build an outdoor pizza oven and grill. Old reclaimed bricks were used as facings.

A deck extension with a canopy was built onto this property.

Garden with patio and pergolaA garden extension and re-construction.

The final stage of building a swimpond which, as you can see is, planting the gravel beds. The construction stages can be reached from the main menu.

Landscaping the site of a new build, starting with the boundary fencing. The client was concerned to maintain the natural environment as far as possible. The works included irrigation, stone patios and paths, planted beds and a large natural pond. The 3 main elements, fencing, irrigation and pond, can be reached from the main menu.
