Installing Deer Proof Fencing
Erecting a high perimeter fence was the first stage of landscaping this large acreage with magnificent views overlooking the ocean. The main priority here was to do nothing that might spoil the landscape but would blend to make it as inconspicuous as possible. The boundary fence had to be high enough to keep out the deer that roam freely on the island, but equally it had to be unobstrusive. Post and wire was the least invasive option. The first picture in this group shows a view from the property which includes the completed fence, which can just be seen through the vegetation. Additional pictures show how the original boundary line was obscured with thick vegetation and had to be traced with the help of GPS to plot the line. It required the help of an excavator to clear the path.
